The Arts have been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Growing up I always had some sort of creative pastime, whether it be sketching, carving, photography, painting murals, or painting on canvas, there was always an outlet.
Then when I was around 30 years old, I went to an auction and bought a lovely old wood box. There was no mention of anything inside it. However, when I opened it up, it was full of oil paint, oils, solvent and brushes! Painting, apparently, was part of my destiny, although it wasn’t until my children attended university that I started painting professionally.
I am a self-taught artist and my chosen medium is oil paint. I paint mostly northern landscape from my studio in Huntsville, Muskoka and I also enjoy painting outdoors in all seasons.
I have spent endless hours learning from books written by outstanding artists, watching videos, listening to podcasts, going to galleries, and studying the paintings of artists I admire.
I have an unwavering devotion to the arts and I am grateful to share my art with all of you.
